Street lights installed in Sonamarg market | KNO

Sonamarg, Jun 06 (KNO): In a significant development, the street lights have been installed in Sonamarg market area, fulfilling a long-pending demand of residents and shopkeepers. The initiative, aimed at improving safety and convenience in the bustling tourist destination, was welcomed by locals and business owners alike. The project was completed with the efforts of the Beopar Mandal Sonamarg in coordination with the CEO of Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA). Beopar Mandal President Furqan Shera told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), “We had made a commitment to the traders that we would address all major issues. The installation of street lights in the main market was one of the key concerns, and we are pleased to have resolved it.” Local shopkeepers expressed their gratitude to the authorities for the development. “We thank the CEO Sonamarg and the Beopar Mandal for listening to our concerns and taking timely action,” said one of the traders. The installation of the lights is expected to boost local business and tourism by enhancing visibility and security during evening hours—(KNO)
